Well and truly down to me now.

The floor is down and beautiful. The timber arrived (all 600Kg of it) and sat in the room for just shy of two weeks before being fitted. I hope it was long enough to aclimatise properly. I'm gluing up the worktops (these are made of the same Ash that the floor is) it's quite hard work. The new room makes a fantastic workshop. No glass yet between the kitchen and study. This is concerning me. Kitchen arrives on Wednesday.

    Jointing in progress

The walls are white, most of the work for the builders is now complete, timber for the floor and the worktops arrives on Friday. Almost over to me.

    October 18th 2014

Work has continued a pace. Doors should be here (should have already been here...) next week. Walls are down, steels are in. I'm sorting bits around the house, Rosie has taken Bethea out and John is helping me - and Andy (the sparky). This may well be my favorite picture of the whole build.
